Summer Programme 2016 – Summer Safari

flyer

We are proud to present you the Rainbow Project’s Summer Programme for 2016. The Rainbow Summer programme is set up specifically for children (ages 3 to 12) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Although priority is given to children with ASD, to promote inclusion we would like to encourage children with other special needs to join us. Siblings enjoy special discounted rate too! Children from mainstream schools are welcome too!

The theme for our Summer School this year is Summer Safari. We aim to enhance the children’s social interaction and communication skills through participating in the activities planned for this summer programme.

You want to know what we are going to do? Here are a few examples:

  • Music and Drama Movement related to the theme Summer Safari
  • Art/Craft / Sensory Play / Water Play (indoor at the learning centre or outdoor at the public pool)
  • Picnics at the park (outdoor games at the park and looking out for things related to summer safari)

The Summer Programme is designed with a balanced combination of outdoor activities and classroom based activities.

Practical
The programme is set up and will be run by experienced and qualified teachers who have received training in teaching children with ASD and other special needs. They may be joined by fully briefed volunteers to make sure that your children are in safe hands at all times during outings and activities. We also welcome parents’ participation.

Time
Summer School starts on Monday, 4 July and runs until Friday, 22 July. We start at 9.00 am and finish at 12.00 pm every day, Monday to Friday.
